Welcome Peggy Emmerink!
We would like to formally introduce Peggy Emmerink to our Mama Elephant Design Team! Her work is simply amazing and it brings us so much joy!! So please join us and send her some love!
A little bit about Peggy:
My name is Peggy Emmerink. I am 38 years old. I live in the Netherlands with my partner and our five year old son. I've been making cards since about 2016, but have always been creative one way or another. What I love most in cardmaking are cute critters and creating little scenes and stories for them to live in. Cardmaking really is my therapy and can make me forget time. I love that making your own cards allows you to really tailor a card especially for someone. And also, the crafty community rocks! When I’m not crafting, I work as a youth mental health policy maker. Other hobbies include doing fun things with my family, reading, watching films and listening to music or going to concerts.
Now on to Peggy's Mama Elephant Designer Post!

Hi crafty friends!
Peggy ( @peggyemmerink) here with a Designer Series card for the Mama Elephant June release. For today's card I wanted to feature the wonderful Pop Up Trellis Bloom dies. These dies are just so versatile! Create both outside looking-in or inside looking-out scenes or use the flowers and leaves on their own. The choice is yours!
Let me tell you how I made this indoor scene. I started with a standard size white card base. I covered it with a slightly smaller patterned paper rectangle I cut with the Combo Rectangle Creative Cuts. I took one of the arch dies from B2B Arches Creative Cuts that was slightly larger than the Pop Up Trellis Bloom Window and used tape runner to adhere it to my card.
I cut the panel to go behind the window from some white cardstock and used a cloud stencil and a variety of blue inks to create a sky. I cut the rest of the pieces I needed from a variety of colored cardstocks from my stash using the Pop Up Trellis Bloom Creative Cuts.
I stamped the sweet bears from the Book Club stamp set which was part of last month's release. I colored the bears as well as the flower die cuts with alcohol markers. To bring my scene together I used a combination of tape runner, liquid glue and foam tape to adhere everything. I finished my images with some white gel pen accents.
I absolutely love reading as well as reading to my kid and this card brings me so many cozy feelings. Hope you love it as much as I do!
Have a happy crafty day!
Peggy
