Matchbox Builder with Mette
Hello! Mette Witus here with a simple, but adorable tag gift set using the new Matchbox Builder CC and Little Koala Agenda stamps.
You probably know I love making tags, so when I saw how adorable the new Matchbox Builder box is, I couldn’t help but make a complete tag set and turn it into the cutest little tag gift box.
I started by using the stitched rectangle from Matchbox Builder to cut a whole pile of white and grey cardstock “tags”.
On the white “tags” I stamped the cute Little Koala Agenda images and colored them in. I also colored in a little halo of blue around them to give them a bit of a background.
For the To and From I used the Wishful Taggins stamps, which I silver heat embossed on the white sides as well. If you want to include another sentiment, you could add that to the front and add the to and from on the grey side instead.
I glued together the rectangles so I had one white side and one grey, then I simply used a small hole punch to create the hole in the top of the tag.
Since the tags are so simple, it’s easy to make a whole pile to add to the matchbox.
For the matchbox, I used the same grey cardstock to cut the base box, but rather than using cardstock to create the sleeve, I cut it from clear acetate. This mean you can see what’s in the box without having to open it, like commercial packaging. The box will very easily fit 10 tags and the string for them.
P.S. If you like to organize things, the Matchbox Builder box with a clear sleeve is also perfect for organizing all sorts of small things – I’ve already organized several board games, colored images and have plans to use the boxes for much more! I created dividers by taking a 2x2 inch piece of cardstock and scoring it every ½ inch, then folded it to a T shape and glued it in the box.
