Winter Globes with Jenn

Hello crafty friends! Today I am excited to share with you a project that is not a card-- a lighted jar using the new Winter Globes!
First, I cut a piece of vellum to the size of the jar's internal circumference and height. Next, I used Memento Luxe pigment ink to stamp the images. I heat set the images to make sure the images didn't rub off while handling the vellum.
To add color, I used Copic markers and colored the back of the vellum to prevent the ink from smudging the pigment ink.
There are three things that I learned while making this: 1) use darker colors so that they show up; 2) don't add too many layers of ink on vellum or else it can look streaky; and 3) if you mess up, you can easily wipe off the ink using your colorless blender marker.
For the jar lid, I cut a circle from patterned paper and glued it on with Mod Podge. I cut out a bow from felt by using a template I found online. The template follows the same shape as Stitched Gift Tag but it was bigger since I needed a larger bow.
Finally, I added an LED candle to finish the project and voila! A fun and festive light jar perfect for the holidays! I hope you enjoyed this not-a-card project and that it inspires you to try it too! Happy crafting! ~Jenn
