Welcome Jenn Li
Hello everyone! We would like to introduce a new member to our Mama Elephant Design Team! Please help us give a very warm welcome to Jenn Li! We have been loving every single project and there is so much more to come!

Hi crafty friends! My name is Jenn and I am a high school science teacher turned stay-at-home mom. I have always enjoyed crafting and creating, but my love for cardmaking took off when I was planning my daughter’s birthday party back in 2014.
I stumbled across this cute stamp company called Mama Elephant and bought my first stamp set, Pandamonium, to make cupcake toppers and thank you cards. I told my husband that it would “save money” if I made my own cards… (HAHA!!) Little did I know that this would start my love of Mama Elephant and launch my creative journey that would bring me here as a member of this design team!
What an incredible blessing and honor it is to be part of this team, rubbing virtual elbows with creators that I have followed and admired for so long, I can’t even…! I am so thankful for the opportunity to share projects with you and hope you will be inspired to create!
Now onto my card! This card is very dear to my heart because I made it with my daughter in mind. She loves pandas and is the reason why I bought my first Mama Elephant set… and I’m even using Pandamonium on this card! Full circle!
This is an inside shadow box card inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video but modified to be a square shaped card with peekaboo feature. I used the Heart Pocket Set to create the peekaboo heart cutout on the front and the inside window of the shadow box. I used some patterned paper for the front and inside of the card.
To create the heart garlands, I cut out lots of hearts from pink glitter paper, cream and lavender cardstock using the hearts from the Basic Set dies. Then I made a “heart sandwich”—heart, glue, thread, heart—and did this for every heart on the garland. I adhered the garland to the inside edge of the shadow box window with double sided tape and glue.

For the images, I colored up the cute bear from Beary Good Day with Copic markers (T3, T5, T6, C00, C0, C1, W0, W1, R30) and turned him into a panda. I wanted to make lots and lots of hearts so I did some masking to create additional piles of hearts, colored them (V01, V04, E93, E00, R42, R30) and fussy cut the custom images. Finally, I stamped sentiments from Beary Good Day and Pandamonium and put together the card.
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy crafting!
