Surprise Gifts with Jenn
Hello crafty friends! I am so excited to share this colorful birthday card featuring Surprise Gifts!
I went through my Mama Elephant stash to find images of birthday critters and selected a few that would go with the pig and unicorn from Surprise Gifts. I love using older products with new ones!
I also used the llama from Surprise Gifts to create a faux postage stamp and attached it to the front of an envelope.
To create the background, I masked off the ground and then ink blended with my favorite combo of Distress Oxide inks to make a rainbow (kitsch flamingo, squeezed lemonade, salvaged patina). Then I made masks for the pile of gifts stamp and stamped out the image multiple times to fill up the colorful background. I did this same technique to decorate the envelope flap.
I cut a thin strip of extra sparkly black glitter cardstock, stamped out the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink, and heat embossed the sentiment with black sparkle embossing powder. I backed the sentiment with several extra layers to give it dimension and popped up the images with foam squares.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy crafting! ~Jenn
