Pumpkin Carvings with Mimi

Pumpkin Carvings with Mimi

Hi there, Mimi back on the blog today sharing a fun and festive treat bag idea for this Halloween season. I made some Halloween pumpkin treat bags using the new Pumpkin Carvings and Market Tote from Mama Elephant's June release. These colorful pumpkin tote bags are perfect to fill your sweet treats for trick-or treating or party favors.

To make the tote bags, I used the Market Tote and die cut the bag part twice from beige color cardstock. I made 5 bags so I die cut a total of 10 bag pieces.

I, then die cut 2 handles and bottoms from 5 different colored cardstock. I assembled the tote bags using double sided tape.

Next, I die cut the pumpkins using the FBA Pumpkin and Pumpkin Carvings from colored cardstock. To give the pumpkins some dimension, I ink blended each pumpkin with matching distress oxide inks. I’ve listed the distress oxide inks below:

Purple - Shaded Lilac

Pink - Picked Raspberry

Green - Mowed Lawn

Blue - Broken China

Orange - Carved Pumpkin

I die cut each pumpkin carving again with yellow cardstock and offset it a bit behind to give a little contrast to the backed black cardstock. I also ink blended the witch and bat carvings with Black Soot distress oxide ink. For the ghost carving, I die cut another piece from white cardstock, trimmed the edges and glued it on top.

I adhered the pumpkins onto the tote bags with liquid glue and added the TRICK OR TREAT sentiment from Be Scary.

Lastly I added matching Little Zombie Agenda, Little Witch Agenda, Little Ghost Agenda and Little Mummy Agenda tags to the totes.

I hope this inspires you to create your own cute pumpkin tote bags this Halloween season!

Thanks for stopping by!
