Name Tag with Mimi
Hi there, Mimi back with a fun project featuring the Name Tag stamp set from the March release. I created some cute little lanyard pins! Create, decorate and accessorize your lanyard with the Name Tag stamp set and Lanyard Pocket Creatie Cuts. Rock these Mama Elephant friend pins at your next crafty gathering!
First, I made the name tag by inking the "hello my name is" stamp with Versa Magic chalk ink in Sea Breeze onto 80lb white cardstock. I inked and stamped it several times to get a nice solid image. I die cut the Lanyard Pocket from patterned papers. This die set is so great because it also comes with upper and lower case letter dies so you can spell out names and words. I die cut the letters of my name from coordinating color cardstock and glued them down. I stamped, colored and die cut images and adhered them around the frame of the pocket.
To make the pins, additional supplies were needed. I needed several 20mm brooch pins with back clasp (I got these from Amazon) and some self-laminating clear adhesive sheets (I got these from Daiso).
I stamped and colored the images onto 80lb white cardstock.
Using the coordinating dies, I separately die cut a set from 110lb white cardstock.

I took a piece of self-laminating adhesive sheet, peeled off the backing and placed it over the images I colored. I used a ruler to smooth down the sheet to remove any bubbles or wrinkles. The lamination provides a clear and glossy finish to protect the die cut.
I, then, die cut all the images with its coordinating dies.
I glued the separate 110lb die cuts behind each coordinating image for a thicker and sturdier backing.
I, then, glued the brooch pins on the backs of each one. I let the glue sit for at least 1/2 hr to make sure the glue really hardens.
After the glue had hardened, the pins are ready for use.
Here, I decorated the lanyard with these cute little pins!
I hope this inspires you to make your own pins!
Thanks for stopping by!
Mimi
