Me and My Dinosaur with Jennifer

Hi everyone! Jennifer here today to share with you my DS project, featuring the amazing Me and My Dinosaur stamp set.

The whole February release was really stunning, but this stamp set literally stole my heart. I love these dinosaurs, they are so cute and they look gummy! I think they give a lot of creative possibilities and are so fun to use! At first I thought about creating a classic prehistoric scene for my card, but I changed my plans to try something different. This time I chose to create a funny scene, trying to decontextualize my character and put it in an unusual situation. So, since these dinosaurs look rubbery, they reminded me of the rubber duckies kids use for bathing. And, here's my idea of putting one of the big dinosaurs in a bathtub with a rubber ducky. And did you recognize the rubber ducky? It's one of the sweet chickens from the beautiful Eggtastic stamp set!

So here we are! I chose to realize my project on black paper, to give more prominence to the white soap foam. I stamped my characters (only the upper part of the stamps) with the Distress Ink Picket Fence. I drew the bathtub, leaving an empty space under the characters, and then I colored everything using pastel pencils and Prismacolor pencils. I added the white soap foam using a cotton swabb with the Distress Ink Picket Fence, to create the soap bubbles effect. At last I created some highilights on the soap foam with a white gel pen to give it more definition.

I have a lot of fun to create this project and I hope my card will inspire you trying something different!

Thanks for reading! Have a colorful day!
