Little Shelf with Mimi

Hi friends, Mimi back on the blog today sharing a card featuring the Little Shelf stamp set. Here, I used these little shelves and paired it with the Magical Wizards stamp set to create a fun wizard's bookshelf full of magical spellbooks and colorful potions.

Let’s get started on how I made this card.

First, I die cut a 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” card base from kraft colored cardstock using the B2B Rectangles. I ink blended the edges and blended inward with ground espresso distress oxide ink.

I also die cute an arch border from a lighter brown textured cardstock using the B2B Arches and inked the edges with ground espresso distress oxide ink. I trimmed off the bottom and glued the arch border onto the card base.

Next, I stamped and die cut 3 shelf images and the little jar of stars from the Little Shelf stamp set. I wanted a shorter shelf added towards the top of the arch. To create the shorter shelf, I used the MISTI to mask and stamp one end of a shelf image and mask and stamp the other end, aligning the shelf base.

I also stamped and die cut the Mama Elephant wizard friends, kitty with the caldron, potions and crystal balls from the Magical Wizards stamp set. The reading cat and mouse are from the Reading Tree stamp set. All images were colored with Copic markers.

I arranged the shelves onto my card base inside the arch border, placing the shorter shelf I create towards the top of the arch. I left some space in between the shelves to add my sentiment. I used one of the sentiments from Magical Wizards and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added all the images onto the shelves to create a cute wizard's bookshelf full of magical fun.

I applied Stickles Diamond glitter glue to the potions, mini stars, parts of the crystal balls and the wooden staff orb for some extra sparkle and Glossy Accents to the wizards' cloak pins for a little shine and dimension.
