Lil' Friend Tags with Peggy

Hi crafty friends!

Peggy (@peggyemmerink) here with a new card for Mama Elephant’s November 2023 release. For my Designer Series project, I used the Lil’ Friend Tags Stamps and the Holiday Happiness Creative Cuts! Let me tell you how I made this card!

I love all the cute tags included in the Lil’ Friend Tags Stamps along with the variety of things the Friends can hold. The coordinating Creative Cuts cut out the paws (or Santa hands) so you can tuck the other small images underneath. So fun!

I started by cutting a standard size card base and cutting a red and white striped patterned paper matching in size. I cut a slightly smaller stitched rectangle from white vellum using the Combo Rectangle Creative Cuts. I cut an even smaller rectangle using that set from some black cardstock. I adhered the patterned paper and vellum using tape runner.

I stamped the penguin, bear, and reindeer friends, as well as the wreath, candy cane and ornament from Lil’ Friend Tags in alcohol marker friendly ink. I colored my images with alcohol markers. Feel free to ask me about what colors I used specifically. I cut my images with the coordinating Creative Cuts. I finished my images with some white gel pen accents.

I threaded a piece of red and white cord through my three tags and held it in place in the back of the panel with some tape. I backed the panel with foam tape and adhered it to my card base. I moved the tags the way I wanted them to go and adhered them with foam tape as well.

I used the ‘Sending Holiday Cheer’ Creative Cuts from Holiday Happiness. I cut the shadow die from some black cardstock. I used the die that cuts out the letters with some white and kraft cardstock and did a white letter inlay in the kraft background. I adhered the sentiment with some foam tape.
This card is a great addition to my Christmas card stash. Hope you love how it turned out as much as I do!
