Deliver Winter Joy with Peggy
Hi crafty friends!
Peggy (@peggyemmerink) here with a new card for Mama Elephant’s October 2023 release. For my Designer Series project I used two of the new stamp sets: Deliver Winter Joy and Deliver Lots of Cheer, and one of the new die sets Goody Bag Topper! Let me tell you how I made this card!
I love all the cute images included in the Deliver Winter Joy stamp set. They can be used in combination with the truck image from Deliver by Truck, but are also adorable on their own. But they also combine with many older Mama Elephant stamp sets. And not even just for Christmas cards. In this way you can really stretch your supplies. Mix and Match!
I started by stamping the kitty and koala with the stack of gifts from Deliver Winter Joy and the gorgeous tree from the Festive Tree stamp set in alcohol maker friendly ink. I colored my images with alcohol markers. Feel free to ask me about what colors I used specifically. I cut my images with the coordinating Creative Cuts. I finished my images with some white gel pen accents.
Next, I folded a piece of kraft cardstock in half and die cut my card base from it using B2B arches. I cut a smaller arch from that same set from some white cardstock fit for ink blending. I ink blended Distress Ink Tea Dye and Vintage Photo at the bottom of the white panel. The rest of the panel I covered with Distress Oxide Lost Shadow, which is a beautiful light grey. I used metallic watercolor to apply some ink splatters in black and silver.
I adhered the ink blended panel to my card base with tape runner. Next, I cut the window frame from the Pop Up Trellis Bloom set from white cardstock. I folded the side pieces with a bone folder and adhered it to the middle of the card. On top I adhered my Festive Tree and stack of gifts. I finished my card with one of the tiny tags from the October release Goody Bag Topper Creative Cuts. I cut it from white and pink cardstock and adhered the pieces on top of each other. I stamped the Special Delivery sentiment from the Deliver Lots of Cheer stamp set on the pink tag. Lastly, I tied a tiny piece of string and adhered the tag to my image with the stack of gifts.
This card is a great addition to my Christmas card stash. Hope you love how it turned out as much as I do! Have a happy crafty day!
Peggy

Love this card.
Would love to see a video of the making, especially how you cut the card base.
