Candy Cane Lane with Guest Designer Beata

Hello crafty friends!  Beata June here, and I'm so excited to be guest designing for Mama Elephant's 13th year anniversary!  I'm excited to share this winter Christmas card with you today featuring the new Candy Cane Lane stamp set.

To start things off, I die cut the Christmas house twice using the Ornate House Grid creative cuts from green cardstock and grey cardstock.  Then I trimmed the roof from the grey house diecut and glued it to the top of my green diecut house.  Next, I placed my Christmas house over a piece of white cardstock and inkblended the windows with a yellow ink pad to make the windows look like they were glowing, and splashed white paint on the windows.  To make the snow in front of the house, I cut a piece of white cardstock in a wavy pattern, inkblended the edge with blue ink and splashed white paint over it, and glued it over the bottom portion of my Christmas house.

I stamped out the candy canes and cute mice from the Candy Cane Lane set.  I used reversed image stamping for one of the mice in the house by stamping the mouse on my media mat and then placing a piece of white cardstock over the stamped image on my mat, and then carefully rubbing the backside of the cardstock before lifting it off the mat.  I also stamped some ornaments and a star topper from the retired Merry Mantle and Christmas Scene sets.  Then I colored all my stamped images with copic markers, added white highlights using a gel pen, cut them out and glued them onto my house.

To finish my Christmas card, I stamped the "Candy Cane Wishes and Mistletoe Wishes" from the Candy Cane Lane stamp.

Aren't these merry mice so adorable?

Here's another look at my finished Christmas card full of merry mice and candy cane wishes!

Thanks friends for following along to learn how I made this Christmas card!

Crafty hugs,
Beata June 💚
