Abundance of Toys with Mimi
Hi there, Mimi here with a fun interactive card to share! Are you loving these adorable images from the new Abundance of Toys stamp set? I just love them so much! And when I saw the mouse on the rocking horse, I just had to create an interactive rocking horse card!

First, to make the rotating “rocking” mechanism:
I die cut a 4 7/8” x 3 5/8” panel card from patterned paper using the B2B Rectangles.
I die cut another piece, using a different patterned paper, and trimmed to 4 7/8” x 1 1/8”.
I trimmed a white strip measuring 4 7/8” x 1/8”.
I die cut the circle turner and tab strip from Turner Surprise.
I used the circle die from Large Tag Window to die cut 4 circle pieces from 110 lbs white
cardstock to make the rotating part of the mechanism.
I also die cut a circle opening on both panels using the same circle die from Large Tag Window
(see image).
I stamped, colored and die cut the mouse on the rocking horse image.

I adhered the panels/strip together, aligning the circle opening.
I stacked and glued together the 4 circle die cuts to make the rotating mechanism and placed
it behind the rocking horse image.
I inserted the stacked circles through the circle opening of the panels, aligned my circle turner
and flipped it around.
I added foam squares to the back and placed 2 of them as stoppers for the circle turner.
While holding on to the circle turner, I flipped the panel back around and adhered it to another
panel piece from B2B Rectangles (5 1/4” x 3 7/8”).
I tested the rotating mechanism by moving the tab up and down several times to make sure it
worked and that my rocking horse was rocking back and forth.

To finish the card:
I created a window frame using the Ribbon Tags that I inked with Candied Apple distress oxide
ink. I also added the cross section part of the window from All Tied Up and backed it with
patterned paper that I splattered with white ink.

I stamped, colored and die cut more images from the Abundance of Toys set. For some
sparkle, I added Stickles diamond glitter to the Christmas tree star.

I assembled the the card, stamped the sentiment and added another back panel from B2B
Rectangles. Lastly, I added the mini arrow from the Turner Surprise to the moving tab.

Move the tab up and down and see the rocking horse in motion, rocking back and forth!

Thanks for stopping by!
