A Capybara Christmas with Mimi
Hi there, Mimi here! I hope you all have enjoyed Mama Elephant’s 11th Year Anniversary Release!! This was a big release and there are so many cute and adorable stamp sets/dies. Today, I’m sharing a card featuring images from the new A Capybara Christmas.
The winter holidays always remind me of a nice cup of hot cocoa. And hot cocoa bombs are such a fad these days. So I created a shaker card with the hot cocoa bombs as a theme.
I first stamped, colored and die cut my images. The capybaras are from A Capybara Christmas and the small mug is from Holiday Huggers. The marshmallows are from Hot Cocoa and I made some heart shaped marshmallows with the heart from A Capybara Christmas.
To create the stamped hot cocoa bomb, I used the circle piñata from Piñata Party and masked the hanging string. I inserted a few mini marshmallows from Around the Camp Fire into the circle piñata cocoa bombs.
Next, I used the Circular Grid Creative Cuts to create the shaker card. I die cut the circular grid frame from 110lbs Neenah cardstock, adhered acetate and double sided foam mounting strips on the back. I picked 3 circles to fill my shakers. To make the shaker look like cocoa powder mix, I added brown embossing powder and added some peppermint mix that I got from the craft store. I, then sealed the shaker with a back panel.
I lightly ink blended some circles from the die cut negatives with Kitsch Flamingo
distress oxide ink. I stamped the mix of sentiments from A Capybara Christmas and Hot Cocoa.
I also used some of the circle die cut negatives to create the hot cocoa bomb dies. I colored the cocoa bombs with Copics in E23, E25, E27.

To create the hot cocoa bomb drizzle, I used the streamer part of the Party Scene Cover Creative Cuts, die cut it with white and brown cardstock and glued stripes across the circles.
Lastly, I put the card together.
Give the card a shake for a fun interactive element!
